Some of our dev team went to the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Web Conference last week in Philadelphia. While they were there, they happened to get this snap of WizeHive with Steve Wozniak:
Here’s what the team took away from his talk:
1. Steve Wozniak is cool. He is down to earth and very, very passionate about what he does.
2. After his success at Apple, Wozniak taught 5th grade for a few years. He said he wanted to affect each child on an individual level.
3. Steve Wozniak thinks technology can eventually solve our education problem by creating a one-on-one learning environment (student <-> computer with a personality).
4. The Woz believes in the Singularity.
5. Wozniak thinks there is always room for a new technology startup to change the game – just because a field seems mature doesn’t mean we’ve thought of everything; that’s the entire point of disruption.
The conference was really good. The team learned some new things and met some helpful people. It’s so great that a tech event like this happened right in Philadelphia.
